A Residential School for the Deaf was established at Chandur Railway on 01.07.1994. The institution was first granted recognition on non-grant basis on 09.10.1995. Later, on 06 May 1996, it was granted recognition on grant-in-aid basis by the Director, Social Welfare Maharashtra State, Pune.
